Water Rail
(Rallus aquaticus)

A highly secretive inhabitant of freshwater wetlands that is far more often heard than seen. Identifiable by it's red bill, chestnut brown upper parts and grey underparts. Further information on the Grey Wagtail can be found on the RSPB Water Rail page.
