Oriental Mandarin Duck
(Aix galericulata)

Originally introduced from China and established in the wild following escapes from captivity. The male has beautifully coloured plumage with distinctive long orange feathers on the side of the face and orange sail wingtips. The female has a grey head with white stripe behind the eyes and a mottled brown body.
